AUSTIN (KXAN) — No. 2 Texas posted nine runs in the second inning to secure a 13-2, 5-inning win and 3-game sweep of Auburn in Southeastern Conference softball action at McCombs Field on Sunday.
Katie Stewart capped the huge frame with a 3-run home run, adding to her big weekend against the Tigers. She hit a walk-off, 3-run homer to give the Longhorns a 7-5 win in Game 2 on Saturday. In the series, Stewart finished 4-for-7 with nine RBIs after a 2-for-2, four-RBI day Sunday.
