New Iberia shooting leaves man dead

NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) -- A shooting on Saturday night has resulted in the death of a man in Iberia Parish.

The New Iberia Police Department is actively investigating the incident that happened in the 700 block of South LaSalle Street, around 10:45 p.m.

Officials said they found a man lying in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced at the scene.

His name has not been released.
