ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The first full day of the NCAA Tournament kicked off on Thursday, but this time of year also marks the return of a different fan favorite competition -- SUNY Mascot Madness.

And the results are in: University at Albany's Damien the Great Dane made it to round three of voting. He won his matchup against SUNY Cortland's dragon mascot Blaze by more than 1,000 votes.
