The Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, announced a major seizure of drugs.
On Thursday morning, Noem announced that the U.S. Coast Guard offloaded more than 45,000 pounds of illegal drugs valued at over $500 million at Port Everglades in Florida.
According to Noem, the crews of U.S. Coast Guard cutters Stone and Mohawk seized the drugs in 14 interdictions in the eastern Pacific Ocean.
