UT students demonstrate against efforts to prohibit DEI programs

More than 170 people turned out for a noon demonstration at the University of Toledo against sweeping legislation that may soon be enacted by the Ohio General Assembly. The bill under consideration, known both as Senate Bill 1 and House Bill 6, would govern what must and must not be taught to students at public institutions of higher education and what criteria can be used in hiring decisions and scholarship awards.
