New legislator appointed in Schenectady County

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Schenectady County Legislature has chosen a new representative for part of the city of Schenectady. Raj Ishmael was appointed to the District 2 seat.

Ishmael will finish the term of former legislator Philip Fields. Fields served in the legislature for over 20 years. He stepped down in December due to the demands of a recent promotion.
