The Wall Street Editorial Board came away from watching the Senate interrogation of Fox News personality Pete Hegseth to be Donald Trump's next secretary of defense unsatisfied and left with the hope that the embattled nominee will surprise them.

In an editorial published after Hegseth's contentious hearing that lasted over 4 hours, the editors praised Sen, Tim Kaine (D-VA) for his incisive questioning about Hegseth's documented history of alcohol abuse and treatment of women while calling out Republicans for not doing their jobs.
