Killer gets prison for 2019 Portland shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Five years after Quincy Gill was shot to death in Northeast Portland, the man who killed him was sentenced to prison.

Elijah L. Thomas pleaded no contest to killing the 39-year-old Gill near NE Garfield Avenue and NE Fremont Street on December 11, 2019. Thomas managed to elude law enforcement until he was arrested by US Marshals in late 2022.
