Virginia Democrats Pass Amendment for Abortions Up to Birth

In one of the first orders of business of the 2025 legislative session, the Virginia House of Delegates voted this morning to further a constitutional amendment allowing abortion at any point in pregnancy. The amendment would also eliminate parental rights, remove basic health regulations that protect women and force taxpayers to fund abortion. The vote broke along party lines with 51 Democrats voting in favor and 48 Republicans opposing.
