'Leftists!' MAGA host attacks GOP senators over Pete Hegseth's FBI background check

Pro-MAGA Newsmax host Chris Salcedo labeled two Republican senators as "leftists" after they requested to see an FBI background check on defense secretary nominee Pete Hegseth.

On his Newsmax program Monday, Salcedo lashed out at Republican Sens. Susan Collins (ME) and Lisa Murkowski (AK) for wanting more information about Hegseth after he was hit with allegations of drinking and sexual abuse.

"On Friday, FBI officials briefed the senior committee members on the results of their background check," Salcedo said.
