Cold weather payment postcode checker tool reveals if you’ll get up to £50 free cash direct to bank account

THOUSANDS of households in almost 100 postcodes are due payments of up to £50 to help with heating costs as the cold snap continues.

The free cash, known as the cold weather payment, is issued by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

You can check to see if cold weather payments have been triggered in your postcode by searching yours in the box in the table above.

Eligible individuals receive £25 for each seven-day stretch of low temperatures, with these payments available until 31 March.
