Modi inaugurates Rs 2,700 crore all-weather Sonamarg tunnel in Jammu & Kashmir

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Sonamarg tunnel in the Ganderbal district, ensuring year-round connectivity and boosting tourism in the region. The 6.5 km tunnel, costing Rs 2,700 crore, will significantly reduce travel time, enhance local employment, trade, and benefit the Ladakh area. The Zojila Tunnel under construction will further improve accessibility.
