Tragedy as teen dies after car plunged into sewage pit with man & woman, 21, arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving
A TEENAGER has died after a car veered off the road and plunged into a sewage treatment pit.
The 18-year-old man was found yards away from the white VW Golf, which was partially submerged in the wastewater tank.
YappAppPolice were called to Wheldale Sewage Works in Castleford[/caption]Two other occupants of the vehicle, a male and female, 21, were rescued and taken to hospital for treatment.
The pair were later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
