South Korea's impeached President Yoon to not attend first trial hearing, says lawyer

Impeached South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol will skip the first hearing of his impeachment trial citing safety concerns. The Constitutional Court hearing is set for Tuesday. The Corruption Investigation Office plans to arrest him over another case. Earlier arrest efforts failed after a standoff with security personnel.
