Two Afghan citizens executed in Iran

In response to international calls to halt executions in Iran, the human rights organization Hengaw reported the execution of five individuals, including two Afghan citizens, at Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj, Iran.

The organization, in a report published on Friday, January 10, stated that the executions were carried out by Ghezel Hesar authorities on Wednesday, last week.

According to the report, these individuals were convicted of premeditated murder and sentenced to death by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
