Evangeline Parish couple arrested for Cruelty to Juveniles

VILLE PLATTE, La. (KLFY) - An Evangeline Parish couple has been arrested for Cruelty to Juveniles.

Authorities say in early December, the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office was contacted about possible abuse of a child on Jean Pierre Road in the Ville Platte area. After an investigation State Officials removed the juvenile from the home after talking with the suspect, Jesse Vegas. . Officials say Vegas admitted that he struck the juvenile in the face during an argument causing a nose bleed.
