Marvin Richard recognized for scholarship awards

OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) -- Opelousas alderman and president of the I-49 Association Marvin Richard has spent well over a decade trying to inspire the next generation to excel in the classroom by offering an annual scholarship program. His efforts have now not only inspired students but also gained attention from local leaders.

That mission to do good work fuels Richard as he awards over $1,000 to four high school seniors making their way to college each year.
