Westerville's Java Central to merge with Dayton-based coffee roaster

WESTERVILLE, Ohio (WCMH) -- A Westerville coffee shop will remain open after merging with another Ohio coffee company.

Java Central Cafe and Roaster at 20 S. State St. is set to become part of Boston Stoker Coffee Co., a Dayton-based company with roots dating to 1973. The Westerville shop said on social media that "we needed to look for a new way to sustain" and that it has been collaborating with Boston Stoker for more than 10 years, including hosting joint barista competitions for local industry colleagues to connect.
