Man and woman arrested for murder after death of one-year-old baby

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a one-year-old baby.

Emergency services raced to a home in the New Bilton area of Rugby, Warwickshire, at about 4.30am on Tuesday over reports of a baby in cardiac arrest.

The child was taken to hospital but has since died.

The baby has not yet been identified.

Police have now arrested a 24-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
