Helsinki has political mandate to drive out far-right activists from libraries, says deputy mayor
THE CITY of Helsinki has a political mandate to drive out far-right gatherings from libraries, according to Deputy Mayor for Culture and Leisure Paavo Arhinmäki (LA).
“We’ve got an initiative from six years ago that was approved by the city council that states that far-right groups can’t convene in city-owned facilities,” he commented to Helsingin Sanomat on Monday, 6 January.
