Kashmir valley rail connectivity moves closer: Final speed trial of Katra-Banihal rail successfully conducted

The first trial train ran successfully on the Katra-Banihal section towards starting rail services to Kashmir. Safety inspections will be carried out next week. The trial covered significant engineering milestones like India's first cable-stayed rail bridge and the world's highest railway bridge over the Chenab. Final train services are expected to begin after the commissioner’s report.
