Highly contagious virus continues to spread across New York City
NEW YORK (PIX11) -- A highly contagious virus that causes vomiting and diarrhea has rapidly spread across New York City, with cases nearly doubling from November to December.
While symptoms of norovirus can last one to three days, those infected can continue to spread the virus for up to two weeks, according to the CDC.

There have been 2,350 reported cases of the norovirus illness from October to December, according to the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
