LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- An arrest has been made in the gunfight in Lafayette that included an officer-involved shooting early New Year's Day, authorities said.
Damon Guillot, 19, of Marksville, is charged with attempted second degree murder, unlawful possession of a machine gun and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities. Guillot is being held on $320,000 bond, according to jail records.
Guillot's brother, Daykwon Guillot, 21, of Marksville, was also arrested in connection with the incident.
