The New York Court of Appeals refused Donald Trump's request to stop his Friday sentencing after less than 24 hours — and they did in a single sentence.
Trump's lawyer, Todd Blanche, filed an appeal after Judge Juan Merchan rejected his motion Monday to stop the sentencing.
Under the application for a stay, Blanche wrote, "N.Y. Supreme Court Presidential immunity rulings are causing ongoing, irreparable harm by depriving President Trump of his constitutional rights."
