RILEY COUNTY (KSNT) - Riley County Emergency Management (RCEM) is warning Kansans that some blocked pipes on their home could have deadly consequences in the winter.
On Monday, Jan. 6 RCEM reminded residents to make sure gas furnace and water heater pipes on the outside of homes don't get blocked and cause carbon monoxide to build up in their home.
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless odorless gas that can cause sudden illness or death if inhaled, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
