Tottenham trigger Son Heung-min’s contract extension blocking South Korean from negotiating free transfer exit in summer

TOTTENHAM have exercised their option to extend Son Heung-min’s contract by a further year.

The South Korean icon’s previous deal was due to expire at the end of the season.

But as SunSport told you last year, Spurs always planned on taking up their right to add another 12 months to the 32-year-old’s terms.

They have now done that, meaning skipper Son is contracted until the summer of 2026.
