Congress Certifies Trump’s Victory, Kamala Forced to Confirm He Won

Congressional lawmakers officially certified President-elect Donald Trump’s electoral victory on Monday in a subdued session that confirmed Trump as only the second president in U.S. history to serve non-consecutive terms.

The certification process, which took just over 30 minutes, solidified Trump’s place alongside President Grover Cleveland, who served non-consecutive terms in 1885 and 1893.

Republicans celebrated the certification as a pivotal step toward advancing Mr. Trump’s agenda.
