Indian nurse's case handled by Houthis, her death sentence not ratified by president: Yemeni embassy

Indian nurse Nimisha Priya's death sentence by a Yemeni court has not been ratified by President Rashad al-Alimi. The embassy clarified that the Houthi militias handled the case. Priya is charged with murdering a Yemeni citizen in 2017, with the sentence upheld by Yemen’s Supreme Judicial Council in November 2023.
