Map reveals 26 postcodes due £25 DWP cold weather payments and select areas getting DOUBLE

THOUSANDS of households in over a dozen postcodes are due payments of up to £50 to assist with heating costs as the cold snap continues.

Britain is bracing for another day of weather carnage with up to eight inches of snow falling in certain areas.

As a result, cold weather payments have been triggered in areas where temperatures have fallen below zero for a continuous period.

Eligible households receive £25 for each seven-day stretch of low temperatures, with these payments available until 31 March.
