ETtech Explainer: CCI's antitrust probe into Amazon, Flipkart

The Supreme Court has transferred all petitions regarding alleged anti-competitive practices by Amazon and Flipkart to the Karnataka High Court's Dharwad bench. Originating in 2019, the case involves accusations of deep discounting, preferential treatment, and exclusive tie-ups. In January 2020, the CCI called for a probe into the companies, asking the Director General to look into the issue.
