NJ Amtrak passenger in police custody, had multiple guns on train: Authorities
NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – A man is in police custody after boarding a New Jersey Amtrak train headed to Virginia while carrying multiple firearms Friday afternoon, police said.
At around 3:00 p.m. New Jersey police were notified of an unattended bag at Newark-Penn Station. Police say they inspected the bag and discovered a handgun and loaded rifle.

Authorities said they investigated and determined that the unknown individual had purchased an Amtrack ticket for a final stop in Virginia.
