Evergy prepares for upcoming winter weather in NE Kansas

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Evergy is gearing up to face the first potential winter storm in 2025.

Evergy announced in a news release Thursday, Jan. 2 that it is getting prepared for the first cold snap of the year that could impact northeast Kansas. The Southwest Power Pool (SPP) has issued a Weather Advisory for Sunday, Jan. 5 through Wednesday, Jan. 8. The SPP is in place to ensure serving members remain vigilant amidst changing weather and system conditions.
