In the early hours of January 1, 2025, a tragic incident unfolded on Bourbon Street in New Orleans when a pickup truck plowed into a crowd of New Year’s revelers, resulting in 15 fatalities and injuring at least 35 others.
The driver, identified as 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, was fatally shot by police after he exited the vehicle and opened fire.
