Salem teen arrested in Portland with loaded semiautomatic

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A Salem 15-year-old with a loaded semiautomatic rifle was arrested outside a restaurant in Northeast Portland on Monday, police said.

A caller told police about the teen with a black-and-red painted rifle around 11:35 a.m., but believed the gun was a fake. The teen was walking away with a group of underage people when officers arrived at NE 81st and Flanders.
