Man driving at 122 mph in Jackson County arrested after trying to lose deputies in fog

JACKSON COUNTY (KSNT) - Deputies in Jackson County arrested a northeast Kansas man who was allegedly driving more than 50 mph over the speed limit.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office announced that a deputy was patrolling around 10 p.m. on Dec. 27 on northbound U.S. 75 near where it meets 302nd Road when a vehicle passed by heading south on the highway at 122 mph in a 65 mph zone. The deputy began following the vehicle and tried to pull it over but it refused to stop.
