PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A frequently photographed tree that served as an Oregon landmark for more than 100 years was blown over during a recent coastal windstorm.
The tree growing from Tillamook Bay’s Three Graces snapped on or before Dec. 27, Tillamook County Emergency Management Director Randy Thorpe confirmed with KOIN 6 news Monday. The damage occurred after powerful 50 to 60-mph winds hammered the Oregon coast on Christmas night.
