Mother of 5 children killed in New Year's Eve 2022 fire sues homeowners

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The mother of five children killed in a fire at a home on Dartmouth Avenue in Buffalo on New Year's Eve in 2022 has filed a lawsuit against the owners of the home.

The suit, filed in Erie County State Supreme Court on Monday, alleges that the fire was the result of "fault, negligence and carelessness of the defendants," who are identified as Fazlul Chowdhury of Niagara Falls and Razia Chowdhury of Jamaica, N.Y.
