Fans of Robert Pattinson's version of the Caped Crusader will have to wait even longer than previously expected for a sequel to the 2022 hit The Batman. Turns out, that The Batman: Part II, originally expected to be released in 2026, has now been pushed back a whole year. The new release date is Oct. 1, 2027.
But why? Recently, DCU boss James Gunn confirmed on his Threads account what some fans and insiders already knew: The script for The Batman: Part II has yet to be completed, which means filming is still a long way away.
