Vacant lot transformed in Manhattan as casino licenses are evaluated
MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- New York City has many famous sights and attractions.
A new place to see is scheduled to be open on the east side of Manhattan in May 2025.
The owner and developer of the lot between the FDR Drive and First Avenue from 41st to 38th streets has brought art to the land. It is known as Manhattan's biggest undeveloped plot of land.
Walkways appeared last year. From 2023 to the fall of 2024, it was known as the Field of Light with visitors getting free tickets to walk among the lights.
