City takes action after Topekans continue to live with trash piles

TOPEKA (KSNT) - It's been nearly two weeks since Topeka residents noticed trash piling up on their complexes which are owned by Eucalyptus Real Estate.

This is a story we've been following since the start, and as of Friday, Dec. 27, the deadline for the owners to clean it up has passed. This comes after the city gave owners 10 days to fix the trash issue, but that time is now up.

What happens next is the city will confirm everything is up to code. The city told 27 News it will spend the next two days doing this.
