Second baseman Gleyber Torres has agreed to a one-year deal worth $15 million with the Detroit Tigers, taking another infielder off the board in free agency.

Jon Heyman of the New York Post first reported that Torres and the Tigers were in agreement on a contract while Jesse Rogers of ESPN was first with the financial details.
Torres had a down 2024 season with the New York Yankees, hitting .257/.330/.378 with 15 home runs, 63 RBI and four stolen bases.
