One dead in Ulster County house fire

HIGHLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A person is dead after a house fire in Highland. New York State Police said Phillip Damberg, 69, of Highland died of smoke inhalation.

On Christmas Day around 3 a.m., crews were called to an active structure fire on North Riverside Road. The Highland Fire Department, Milton Fire Department, and Esopus Fire Department worked to put out the fire.
