BHU students detained for attempting to burn Manusmriti and clashing with security
On December 25, Lanka police detained 13 Banaras Hindu University students. They attempted to burn Manusmriti and clashed with university staff. Charges include disrupting government work, inciting religious tension, and assault. Two female security officers were injured. The accused students were handed over by university security.
