Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week: Samuel Gillaspy, Alhambra basketball
Alhambra basketball player Samuel Gillaspy is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Dec. 9-14.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Gillaspy finished with 41.94% of the vote. Mountain View basketball player Jayden Minor took second and Archbishop Riordan basketball player Jasir Rencher was third.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
In four games during the week, Gillaspy averaged 19.75 points and four 3-pointers.
