President-elect Donald Trump told Fox News host Lawrence Jones he was "totally against" a Republican bill that would prevent the government from partially shutting down before he takes office on Jan. 20.
In a Wednesday post on X, Jones said he had spoken to Trump "and he is 'totally against' the proposed CR."
Throughout the day, billionaire Elon Musk, head of Trump's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), sought to derail the funding bill backed by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA).
