Los Angeles deputy mayor accused of making bomb threat against City Hall

A deputy mayor in Los Angeles has been accused of calling in a bomb threat against City Hall and is now on administrative leave, according to reports.

“Earlier this year the LAPD responded to a bomb threat made against Los Angeles City Hall. Our initial investigation revealed that the source of the threat was likely from Brian Williams, Deputy Mayor for Public Safety,” Los Angeles police said, according to NBC News.

Mayor Karen Bass said Williams was placed on administrative leave.
