Bengaluru to bury 12,800 kilometers of overhead cables underground in Rs 200 crore project

Bengaluru is initiating a Rs 200 crore project to move 12,800 kilometers of overhead cables underground. This "Brand Bengaluru" initiative aims to enhance safety and aesthetics by creating a city-wide underground utility corridor housing optical fiber and power lines. The project will utilize existing ducts and eliminate hazards posed by overhead cables.
