Afrobeats isn’t overshadowing jazz– Yinka Davies

 Jazz singer, Yinka Davies, has said that despite its surging popularity, afrobeats has overshadowed jazz.  She said, “I don’t think it (afrobeats) is overshadowing jazz. They are two different genres, and they look like each other, so there is no discussion.” Davies, who has attracted criticism for blending jazz with traditional African influences, remained unapologetic,
