The Wall Street Journal reports that some members of Donald Trump’s team, tasked with analyzing the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime, are seriously evaluating options to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, including the possibility of “preemptive airstrikes.”
Military pressure options being considered include deploying more troops, fighter jets, and ships to the Middle East, as well as providing Israel with advanced weaponry like bunker-buster bombs to enhance its capability to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities.
