As Buster Posey navigates his inaugural season as the Giants’ president of baseball operations, he’ll have a familiar face in his corner to offer guidance.
The Giants are hiring former general manager Bobby Evans as an adviser to Posey, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan. San Francisco will also be hiring Jeff Berry as an adviser as well. Berry was Posey’s agent at CAA but left earlier this year.
Evans served as San Francisco’s general manager from 2015-18 and was fired prior to the final week of the ’18 season.
